Jamie Johnson

Cheeky, charming and charismatic are three words that come to mind when summing up singer-songwriter Jamie Johnson. He achieved nation-wide fame in 2014, reaching the grand final of the UK series of ‘The Voice’, being mentored by Kylie Minogue. However, the first footstep of his journey was taken long before then.

In 2009, Jamie began performing in a grime band in his home county of Kent. Through this, he found his affinity for song writing and performing. In 2010, he ventured into a solo career, writing and releasing his debut album, ‘Shining In The Dark’ – selling all 1000 copies in the blink of an eye. With three successful years of gigging behind him – playing prestigious venues like the Camden Roundhouse, The Borderline, and Islington Academy – his fan-base grew exponentially in the South East. Having honed his unique and soulful voice, he decided to audition in late-2013 for ‘The Voice’. This leg of his venture catapulted Jamie into the spotlight, reaching the grand final in 2014. During his time on ‘The Voice’, he sang live with Kylie Minogue and with Justin Timberlake and his band during the soundcheck for his sell-out live show at the O2.

Since then, Jamie has sold out shows across England and released his debut professional EP ‘Footsteps’ – available now as a hard copy or for download! In May 2014, Jamie returned to his local town of Rochester to thank his home fans for the huge amount of support they offered him, and performed a sold out evening at the Casino Rooms. He is now looking to take America by storm, aiming to gig in a new environment and to work with contacts in making more music.
